EROTIC ART

TOM OF FINLAND FOUNDATION:  Preserving and promoting erotic
art of every kind, but with an emphasis on gay leather and s/m
subjects.  Based in Los Angeles, the Foundation organizes a yearly
Erotic Art fair in September or October in Los Angeles (West Hollywood)
where as many as 50 to 60 mostly gay erotic artists show and
sell their work for two days.  Ted Fusby attended the show

LESLIE-LOHMAN GAY ART FOUNDATION:   Based in New York, this
non-profit foundation promotes and sells gay and lesbian art and showcases
their work at their new gallery space and on their website.

sells the artwork of several gay male oriented artists, including Ted Fusby.

INCUBUS' CHOICE:  A website of links to many excellent artists and
photographers websites, some specializing in men, some in women, and
all of which have some erotic content.  The site is so well organized that you
can easily find sites which interest you and avoid those that do not.

ART OF LOVE:  A website based in the Netherlands which features erotic art and
photography, both straight and gay.  They cited Ted Fusby for "Best Male Nudes"
for 2007.

MINORU:  A very accomplished and powerful artist, based in the Los Angeles
area, though originally from Japan.  His subject matter is "bears", large, hairy
and bulky men, rendered with great beauty and power.

RAPHAEL PEREZ & gaypaintings.com:  A large and ambitious site encompassing
not only Rafi's work, but showcasing a number of other gay artists and photographers.

ALEXEI BIRYUKOFF:  A Russian artist working in diverse styles and subject matter.
His nudes tend to be male, but his approach is anti-glamorous, in the vein of Jenny
Saville or John Coplans.  The compositions are strong and dramatic, such as this
one.

PETER HOCKING:  An American painter who paints gay domestic scenes,
including portraits and self-portraits, with great color and drama and wonderful compositions.
His works are genuine, strong, and heart-felt.

KINU SEKIGUSHI:  A young gay artist living in Paris, who makes male homoerotic art and
illustrations in the style of Manga, slick and colorful, with compositions that evoke traditional
Japanese prints.

FELIX D'EON:  An interesting gay artist based in San Francisco, whose education in
classical technique is immediately evident.  His drawings and paintings are lively
and graceful and reminiscent of 19th Century life drawing studies.  I look forward to
seeing his style develop.
